"It is paradoxical that many educators and parents still differentiate between a time for learning and a time for play."

Welcome to the Elephants Class
Welcome to the Elephants Class, where every day is an exciting adventure! Our wonderful Teacher Linda Dias (Teacher Linda) and her amazing Assistant Barbara Kapapela-Stolz are here to care for your energetic 3 to 4-year-olds. Together, they create a nurturing and fun environment for your children to thrive.
Teacher Linda has been a passionate educator in the Early Childhood Development (ECD) sector for 24 years, with 17 of those years dedicated to teaching at Toddlers Corner. She loves working with children and is always open and friendly, so please feel free to reach out with any questions.
We have exciting times exploring new and interesting themes. I’m confident your child and I will have lots of fun learning together!
"Let them play! The more they play, the more resilient and socially adept they will become."
Jessica Joelle Alexander
Here’s a peek at some of our activities:
We believe in teamwork! Your enthusiasm, support, and involvement are crucial in inspiring your child to do their best. Together, we can achieve wonderful things and ensure your child’s growth and development.
In the Elephants Class, we learn through play. Don’t worry if your child comes home a bit dirty – it means they’ve had a great day of learning and fun!
Our senior classes, including the Elephants and Pre-Grade R’s, have drum lessons once a week. These lessons help develop reading and writing skills, motor skills, stress reduction, and listening skills through rhythm.
Assessments are ongoing throughout the term, with evidence-based reports provided in June and December.
We encourage good manners. Please ensure your child greets the teachers on arrival with a cheerful “Good Morning, Teacher Linda/Barbara.” Our “magic words” are please, thank you, and may I have.
After a busy morning, we wind down with some relaxing yoga and soothing music before nap time.
In addition to our structured activities, we enjoy gross motor activities, music, baking, and lots of free play.
I’m looking forward to meeting you and have a productive and fun-filled time with your child and you. Let’s make this year a memorable one!
